Specifically, we use it to: • Display your personal diary entries, shifts, and activities • Calculate your weekly hours and schedule summaries • Authenticate your account and keep it secure • Serve relevant advertisements through Google AdSense We do not sell your personal diary content, shift records, or activities to third parties.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on our servers. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data transmission between your device and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymised, aggregated data (with no personally identifiable information) for analytical purposes. We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect our rights.
5. Diary & Personal Entries
The content of your diary entries, shift notes, and activities is private and visible only to you. Our staff do not read or access your personal entries except where required for technical support at your explicit request, or as required by law.
6. Advertising
WorkLife displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our app and/or other sites on the internet. • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com • You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info We do not pass any of your private diary entries, shift data, or personal notes to Google for advertising purposes.
7. Cookies
We use cookies for two purposes: Essential cookies: Keep you signed in and maintain your session within the app. Advertising cookies: Google AdSense places cookies to deliver personalised or non-personalised ads. These cookies may track your browsing activity across other websites. By using WorkLife, you consent to the use of advertising cookies as described above. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect app functionality.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you • Request correction of inaccurate data • Request deletion of your account and all associated data To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
9. Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your account at any time from the Profile & Settings page within the app. When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently and irreversibly removed: • Your account profile (name, email address) • All diary entries and their content • All shift records and notes • All activities and tasks • All calendar data (shifts, activities, and diary entries displayed in the calendar view) Account deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, this data cannot be recovered. Deletion is processed immediately and all associated data is purged from our systems within 30 days.
10. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your personal data (diary entries, shifts, activities) will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
11. Children's Privacy
WorkLife is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting a notice within the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
