Pay Rates

Set your hourly rates for each shift period so your earnings are calculated accurately. Every new employer starts with the NHS default pattern — customise day/night times, twilight hours, holiday region, and more under "Customize Pay Rules".

Every new employer you add starts with the built-in NHS default pay pattern: day hours 06:00–20:00, Monday–Friday, with England & Wales bank holidays. This means NHS and most agency staff can just enter their hourly rates and go.

To customise the rules for a specific employer, open Pay Rates, tap the employer card, then expand "Customize Pay Rules". Here you can set the day start/end times and night start/end times (e.g. day 07:00–19:00, night 19:00–07:00), switch the holiday region to Scotland or Northern Ireland, pick "None" if you get no holiday enhancement, or choose "Custom" to enter your own specific holiday dates — useful for international or private care workers.

If your employer pays a separate Twilight rate for late evening hours (common for some NHS and private care providers), toggle on "Twilight Period" and set the start/end times. Hours in that window on weekdays will use the Twilight rate instead of day or night. The NHS default has twilight disabled.

If you change the rules and want to go back to the NHS default, tap "Reset to NHS" — this restores the standard 06:00–20:00 day pattern and England & Wales holidays instantly.

Optional rates (night, Saturday, Sunday, bank holiday) fall back to your Day rate if left blank, so you only need to fill in the rates that differ from your standard day rate.
